"The 2018 Brunello di Montalcino Sugarille keeps me coming back to the glass again and again" Eric Guido
Violet, rose petals and white pepper rise from the glass. A pleasant freshness to the palate with juicy red orange and grapefruit notes. Fragrant, medium in body and well balanced. An initial dry sensation from the oak, that softens with time. Noticeable tannins, yet fine.
The nose opens up citrus and flowery. Vistamare is layered and rich on the nose, a clear note of Scotch broom rises from the glass, followed by white pepper, rosemary and caper bush. Intensely fragrant on the palate, apricot stone, sage and a tangy mineral edge. It is creamy, with good balance and a refreshing and long finish.
2021 Rossj-Bass displays the main features of the vintage well, with intense fruit concentration and floral notes. The nose shows ripe citrus notes of lemon peel and orange evolving into tropical fruits. The richness of the nose and the same notes are reflected on the palate, where remarkable acidity balances the fruit concentration.
Already having scored 97 points from The Wine Independent's Susan Hulme MW, 96 points from Decanter's Aldo Fiordelli and 94+ points from Vinous's Antonio Galloni, it is clear this is a 'enticing wine worth waiting for' (DC).
Over the past 47 years, Rare Champagne has only released 15 prestige cuvées across 13 vintages. Rare Brut Millésime 2013 is only the 12th iteration of its kind. Rare was considered Piper Heidsieck’s prestige cuvée until 2019. Rare Champagne was separated to form its own standalone house as we know it today.
A really beautiful example of Chardonnay from the Langhe. The wine is named after Angelo Gaja’s eldest daughter Gaia and her grandmother Clothilde Rey. We are the first UK merchant to have the 2021.

*NEW RELEASE* A rich, round, and fruity expression of the vintage. The Barbaresco 2020 shows notes of strawberry, red fruit, and cherry. The palate shows great integration of the tannins, more rounded than in 2019 yet gentle and graceful.
