It produces wines with pronounced tannins and acidity, though not always with great depth of colour, and its character can vary from farmyard/leather nuances through to essence of red cherries and plums.
The Fattoi Rosso di Montalcino is a beautiful, elegant, juicy wine with full flavours of red and black fruit. Spicy notes and a nice long finish. Uncork the bottle at least 1 to 2 hours before serving. It is recommended to decant this wine so that the wine is well aerated.
