Castello di Neive's 'Gallina' vineyard is a superior south-facing site, which produces much of the estate's best quality fruit each year.
Nebbiolo is a late ripener and produces wine of high acidity and with high tannins. The best Barolos and Barbarescos are perfumed with aromas of tar, rose, mint, chocolate, liquorice and truffles. They age brilliantly.

A tiny, 4.5 hectare, family-owned Barolo estate, Stroppiana is run by Dario Stroppiana, who takes care of every process, from tending the vines, to overseeing the harvest and making the wine himself.
