2 Barrels Secured at the Iconic Hospices de Beaune Auction
We are today the proud owners of two barrels from the iconic Hospices de Beaune auction. We usually keep our barrels for a few collectors, but we have this year purchased more wine than ever as we are so pleased with the quality. We are offering them to you, so this is a fantastic opportunity to get on the allocation list.
The annual Hospices de Beaune Auction was delayed this year but thankfully it went ahead on 13th December. Prices were pretty much the same as last year. Whilst the quality of Burgundy wines continues to delight connoisseurs and investors all over the world, with our good friends at Louis Jadot we successfully bid for 2 wonderful barrels.
We have acquired a barrel of Meursault 1er Cru Genevriéres Cuvée Baudot and a barrel of Volnay 1er Cru Santenot Jehan de Massol - which we chose as the quality was superb and they are two of our favourite Crus in Burgundy. As a guide, prices will be around £900 per six bottles in bond.

Meursault 1er Cru Genevriéres Cuvée Baudot: "Pale lemon colour with a light lime streak. Fresh apple nose, but the bouquet brings a zest and concentration over and above the other Meursaults.... She has single-handedly elevated the reputation of Hospices wines. They are collectable and desirable and for anyone who loves this region's wines they are indeed a go-to. Jadot is without doubt one of the biggest and finest players in this region, and they have always finished off these barrels impeccably for us. This is the first time that we are offering these wines to you!
