To moderate tannins, we fermented the grapes de-stemmed, as whole berries. Aging in twenty-five percent new oak over sixteen months has softened the wine.

A dense, complex Brunello from one of the most beautiful and iconic vineyards in Montalcino. The Podernovi vineyard is a three-hectare site with excellent south-east exposure, situated at 450 metres above sea level. The 30-year-old vines are planted in a soil rich in galestro, clay and minerals, producing grapes that are extremely concentrated.
