castelvecchi chianti classico lodolaio - wimbledon wine cellar

Castelvecchi Lodolaio Chianti Classico Riserva 2016 - DUTY PAID

In the vineyard:  Lodolaio comes from pure Sangiovese grapes obtained from the reproduction through mass selection of vines of very ancient origin, in a soil composed mainly of marl and alberese.  The year 2016 was characterized by constant heat, without excessive peaks, which helped the ripening of the grapes.

ridge lytton estate petite sirah - wimbledon wine cellar

Ridge Lytton Estate Petite Sirah 2019 Under Bond

Petite Sirah is a close relative to Syrah. Like Syrah, it is a dark-coloured grape that yields wines with floral aromas, deep colour and full, rich tannins. To moderate tannins, we fermented the grapes de-stemmed, as whole berries. Aging in twenty-five percent new oak over sixteen months has softened the wine.

maximin gruenhaus gruenhaeuser riesling trocken - wimbledon wine cellar

Maximin Grunhaus Grunhauser Riesling 2020

The high quality level of the previously named "Old Vines" will be consistently continued in this Grunhauser. Only the origin is now more clearly specified by name. The Grünhäuser trocken shows clear origins on the nose; dark slate minerality, classic herbal spice, lots of ripe fruit and delicate scents of mint, woodruff and green tea.
