"A lot of expectations are built around tasting this maiden release of Gaja’s Etna Rosso, the first from Angelo and Gaia Gaja’s new project on the island of Sicily.
95/100, Greg Sherwood MW, A Fine Wine Safari. "Meerlust Rubicon is undoubtedly one of South Africa’s greatest wine ambassadors. If you have not tasted it yet, you are indeed missing out on one of the great Bordeaux blends produced in the Cape."
In the vineyard: Lodolaio comes from pure Sangiovese grapes obtained from the reproduction through mass selection of vines of very ancient origin, in a soil composed mainly of marl and alberese. The year 2016 was characterized by constant heat, without excessive peaks, which helped the ripening of the grapes.
"A breath taking wine on so many levels." 98pts | Greg Sherwood MW

Wine Safari Score: 96/100 Greg Sherwood MW: André Bruyns is of course the viticulturalist at the famous Lammershoek wine estate from which the grapes for this exceptional old vine wine were sourced from a Chenin Blanc block planted in 1968 on Sandstone and quartz soils.
2019 saw a cold winter with some snow, but rarely sub-zero temperatures. When spring came it gave a dry March and adequate rain in April and May.
94 pts, Monica Larner – robertparker.com. The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino offers sweet fruit with lots of bright cherry and redcurrant. This Brunello reveals medium-rich concentration and an opulent mouthfeel with a smooth or almost creamy quality of fruit.
With more than 320 years of history, The Vin de Constance is without a doubt THE greatest sweet wine of the South hemisphere. A unique style, based on freshness and delicious aromas. A MUST HAVE in one's cellar.
Tasting notes: Vintage Tunina is bright straw-colored with golden reflections. The nose is intense, wide, very elegant and persistent with scents of honey and country flowers. To the palate it is dry, soft, well balanced with an extraordinary persistence due to its full body.
"…Dreams…" from Chardonnay grapes. It has a sparkling straw-yellow colour. To the nose it offers charm and complexity, with aromas of rare elegance and refinement. Exotic hints of ripened fruit, melted butter, vanilla and pastry prevail.
The nose opens up citrus and flowery. Vistamare is layered and rich on the nose, a clear note of Scotch broom rises from the glass, followed by white pepper, rosemary and caper bush. Intensely fragrant on the palate, apricot stone, sage and a tangy mineral edge. It is creamy, with good balance and a refreshing and long finish.
Jancis robinson 16++ points: Lustrous mid ruby. Deep, brooding, sweet cherry on the nose. Succulent, if a little austere right now, but with plenty of potential. (WS)
95 points, Monica Larner, the Wine Advocate “This wine always stands out in my mind, and it's worth dedicating a few words as to why.
2021 Rossj-Bass displays the main features of the vintage well, with intense fruit concentration and floral notes. The nose shows ripe citrus notes of lemon peel and orange evolving into tropical fruits. The richness of the nose and the same notes are reflected on the palate, where remarkable acidity balances the fruit concentration.
On the highest hills of Brunello... One of the greatest vintages ever in Brunello, along with the 2019 this is a must for Brunello lovers ….from one of our favourite estates.
