Pian delle Vigne has adopted the philosophy of aging in large casks that preserves the exceptional integrity of the Sangiovese berry and imparts the characteristic vibrant elegance of Brunello to the wine. Brunello Pian delle Vigne is an extraordinary expression with great finesse.

Mauve red color with nuances tending to garnet, with a complex and lively aroma with notes of blackberry jam, blueberries, plums, which combine with hints of licorice and tobacco. On the palate it is refined and harmonious with soft tannins.... Just a gorgeous wine.

Since the first vintage in 2001, Helichrysum has become sought after for its liberal, focused minerality which comes from the fossils found in the vineyards and is a wine Katia affectionately refers to as their ‘gifted student’, which is reflected in the lavish care with which it’s handled.

2019 saw a cold winter with some snow, but rarely sub-zero temperatures. When spring came it gave a dry March and adequate rain in April and May.

Ruby red color with light violet reflections, with a fragrant, intense, spicy and complex bouquet, rich in sensations with a well blended fruity and vanilla touch. On the palate it is rich, ample and velvety, with great structure and aromatic persistence, with elegant and gentle tannins.

In the vineyard:  Lodolaio comes from pure Sangiovese grapes obtained from the reproduction through mass selection of vines of very ancient origin, in a soil composed mainly of marl and alberese.  The year 2016 was characterized by constant heat, without excessive peaks, which helped the ripening of the grapes.
