Already having scored 97 points from The Wine Independent's Susan Hulme MW, 96 points from Decanter's Aldo Fiordelli and 94+ points from Vinous's Antonio Galloni, it is clear this is a 'enticing wine worth waiting for' (DC).

Keyneton Euphonium references the Barossa hills village of Keyneton, which was home to the Henschke Family Brass Band and winery. The band was founded by second generation Paul Gottard Henschke in 1888.

Over 180 years ago, Johann Christian Henschke settled in the Eden Valley where he built his farm. When third generation, Paul Alfred Henschke took over the reins in 1914, the now famed Hill of Grace vines were more than 50 years old.

Unusual for its time, the Mount Edelstone Vineyard was solely planted with Shiraz in 1912. From the German ‘Edelstein’ meaning ‘gemstone’ this wine references the small yellow opals once found in the area.

Fattoi's Rosso di Montalcino comes from Sangiovese grapes, left to refine for a few months in oak barrels. The bouquet offers notes of small red fruits and morello cherries, while on the palate it is dry and persuasive, with a beautiful freshness and excellent persistence.

The2019 vintage started early and ended later than normal. Spring saw good levels of rainfall which helped maintain water storage levels ready for the warmer months. Summer was one of the hottest on record in Montalcino area. August was marked by cooler temperatures and some rain that replenished water reserves.

The Costanti family has owned this 10-hectare estate in Montalcino for over 200 years.  In the latter part of the 19th century, Count Tito Costanti [1827-1895], Clementi Santi and Ferruccio Biondi Santi were pioneers in Montalcino.

Pian delle Vigne has adopted the philosophy of aging in large casks that preserves the exceptional integrity of the Sangiovese berry and imparts the characteristic vibrant elegance of Brunello to the wine. Brunello Pian delle Vigne is an extraordinary expression with great finesse.

Mauve red color with nuances tending to garnet, with a complex and lively aroma with notes of blackberry jam, blueberries, plums, which combine with hints of licorice and tobacco. On the palate it is refined and harmonious with soft tannins.... Just a gorgeous wine.
