The Epenots ripened well in 2021 and that shows in the nature of the fruit, discreet on the nose, but filling the mouth relatively well. Just slightly bitter tannins behind. Additional elevage may pay dividends here.

concentration and though still entirely red fruit this has a darker profile. The tannins and acidity are in balance at the finish.

This wine comes from the hilltop town of Sancerre on the left bank of the Upper Loire at an elevation of around 300m. The palate is structured and precise with notes of lemon jelly, dried apple, pear pulp and juicy oranges, balanced by refreshing acidity and some saltiness. The finish is citrusy, long and robust.
