Terroirs of Bourgogne from the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits are recognized by the Bourgogne Côte d'Or appellation. Cuvée des Forgets comes from our vineyards on clay soils in the Côte de Beaune.

Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay

Colour: Blanc

Production surface area: 2,50 ha

Terroir: The origin of this wine is several Bourgogne Côte d’Or vineyards located on the southern side of the Côte de Beaune. These terroirs are mainly clay.

Tasting notes: On the nose, this wine is inspiring, with white and yellow fruit notes, floral and slightly toasted owing to the oak casks used - on the whole elegant and robust. In the mouth it is firstly fleshy and a little vigorous , then well balanced and full with the right degree of acidity and the same aromas as observed on the nose. Fresh and with character this wine has a long and fine finish.

Aging potential: minimum 3 to 4 years

Serving temperature: 11 to 13 °C

Serving suggestion: Before the meal as an apéritif or with fish, shellfish etc. as well as certain cheeses such as Brie or Mont d’or.
