Some plums, some fresh apple, a steady build up in flesh towards the back of the palate, a good balancing acidity, and fine persistence. Really very good indeed.

Pretty lemon with a lime tint, this is a little stricter at first on the nose, after bottling, but with a wonderful wealth of apple and fresh pear fruit behind, and very good length. Extremely successful. Fine long aftertaste.

This wine comes from the hilltop town of Sancerre on the left bank of the Upper Loire at an elevation of around 300m. The flint, gravel and limestone soils yield a mineral character to the Sauvignon Blanc grape. Grapes picked from vineyard blocks are vinified separately and then blended together for best balance. No oak ageing.

Rosso di Montalcino is a wine with its own unique identity and a strong personality. This wine’s style highlights the freshness and integrity of the Sangiovese from this terroir and balances intensity with an immediate appeal.

The wine is yellow with green reflections in the glass. There are aromas of lemon peel, ginger, and chamomile on the nose. The plate is crisp, with invigorating acidity and a mineral core. The finish is both long and elegant with silky texture.

BY.OTT is blended and bottled in the new Château de Selle cellar, where part of the winery is exclusively devoted to its production.

Located in the south-eastern part of Lussac Saint-Emilion, Château Lyonnat is a traditional Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

A little bit of honeysuckle and musk here, but a significant concentration of fruit on the palate, with a density of texture. Plenty of wine to work with here. Drink from 2024-2027. Tasted: October 2023.

Anyone who meets Jérome is instantly attracted to his love of Burgundy. He is now seen as one of the leading lights in the region when it comes to the Aligoté grape. The Aligoté wines here are serious. Incredible elegance, finesse and a real quality that is not often seen. He has championed the grape variety and the results are wonderful.

Allegrini’s take on the “Ripasso” method is made from a portion of grapes dried just for this wine (and not from the Amarone pomace). It's a smooth, velvety wine with ripe, juicy dark fruit and silky tannins.

Johann Donabaum Gruner Veltliner Federspiel is a fascinating white wine from Austria's Wachau region. It shows complex aromas of fresh apple and lemon, with hints of anise and menthol. The wine is dry, with a delicious mineral, white pepper bite on the finish.

Rabl Grüner Veltliner Käferberg Reserve comes from a single vineyard, and has lovely aromas of red and green apples, together with a touch of spice. Notes of ripe pineapple and white pepper lead to a mineral, spicy and harmonious palate with a long, creamy finish.

Tasting notes - An enticingly fragrant Scheurebe, with irresistibly intense aromas of white flowers and red grapefruit combined with delicate spicy flavours. Refreshingly crisp with a lifted, zesty finish.

Pale yellow in colour with youthful hues, this dry organic Riesling shows ripe fruit aromas of citrus, green apple and light spice notes. The palate is delightfully refreshing, with the elegant medium body very well balanced by a crisp acidity and mineral subtones.
