Our Wines

Hillside Select is one of California’s greatest red wines. It is produced from carefully selected blocks surrounding the winery (The Sunspot, John's Upper Seven, Venado Illegal & Firebreak) exclusively in the Stags Leap District. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, matured for 32 months in 100% new Alliers and Troncais barrels.

56% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Malbec from Stags Leap District, Yountville and a vineyard in the foothills of the Vaca Mountains, just south of Stags Leap District. Aged for 20 months in a combination of Allier and Troncais barrels (100% new).

Thus is born, in rare years, our collector’s Meerlust Red 2019. The Red 2019 is a blend of  Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot aged in French oak for 17 months.

Petite Sirah is a close relative to Syrah. Like Syrah, it is a dark-coloured grape that yields wines with floral aromas, deep colour and full, rich tannins. To moderate tannins, we fermented the grapes de-stemmed, as whole berries. Aging in twenty-five percent new oak over sixteen months has softened the wine.
