THE VINTAGE

“The 2019 vintage of Las Pizarras Chardonnay shines with its bright yellow-straw colour with beautiful green hues. On the nose, it delivers notes of citrus fruits, complemented by some floral touches framed by soft tones of almonds and a delicate note of honey.

Pian delle Vigne has adopted the philosophy of aging in large casks that preserves the exceptional integrity of the Sangiovese berry and imparts the characteristic vibrant elegance of Brunello to the wine. Brunello Pian delle Vigne is an extraordinary expression with great finesse.

The oak is very present in this wine, and it adds to the tannins and the rather broad approach of the mouthfeel.

Violet, rose petals and white pepper rise from the glass. A pleasant freshness to the palate with juicy red orange and grapefruit notes. Fragrant, medium in body and well balanced. An initial dry sensation from the oak, that softens with time. Noticeable tannins, yet fine.
