In 2018, the red grapes are characterized by thick skins, soft tannins and complex flavours...
2018 is an expressive vintage for Conteisa marked by bright fruity notes and delicate tannin structure...
Intense and enveloping notes, blood orange, plum, and mineral aromas. In the mouth, voluminous with sweet tannins, finishing with an inviting licorice note.
Violet, rose petals and white pepper rise from the glass. A pleasant freshness to the palate with juicy red orange and grapefruit notes. Fragrant, medium in body and well balanced. An initial dry sensation from the oak, that softens with time. Noticeable tannins, yet fine.
*NEW RELEASE* A rich, round, and fruity expression of the vintage. The Barbaresco 2020 shows notes of strawberry, red fruit, and cherry. The palate shows great integration of the tannins, more rounded than in 2019 yet gentle and graceful.
“…a spellbinding, timeless classic in the making” 99 points, Greg Sherwood, MW

Round and delicate wine bursting with strawberry and raspberry characters and notes of peonies – a typical Brouilly from pink granite soil vineyards.

Wine Safari Score: 95/100 Greg Sherwood MW: After the block buster 2021 Monk Stone Chenin Blanc, the new release 2022 from Stark Conde will certainly draw a lot of attention.

Wine Safari score: 95/100 Greg Sherwood MW: I approached this new wine with a little trepidation as I know all too well from previous experience that Ian Naude’s wines always need a few years in bottle to settle in and really start to fan their peacock tail.
