Intense and deep ruby ​​red color, with an enveloping, fruity aroma of cherry and raspberry, a complex of pleasantly balanced spices and vanilla. On the palate it is rich, ample and velvety, with great structure and aromatic persistence, with elegant and gentle tannins.

In the vineyard: Sangiovese 88% and Canaiolo 12%, the soils are mainly composed of marl and alberese with a smaller percentage of boulder and sandstone. The 2021 vintage followed a regular trend. The winter was generally dry, with temperatures close to the seasonal average.

These vines are located at an altitude of around 250 m at the foot of the Corton hill. The slope is gentle and faces south in Les Chagnots, and south-east in Les Chaillots and Les Vris. Vines planted on fertile, well-drained soil which encourages early ripening of the grapes.

The Premier Cru les Serpentières is located a stone's throw from Savigny-lès-Beaune , on the south-facing slope of the valley which moves away from the Corton hill. The gently sloping terroir, facing south, limestone and very stony, is a setting for Pinot Noir .
