Intense and generous red blend of Grenache and Mourvèdre, Vacqueyras is often referred to as a sibling of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with its rich black fruit and white pepper characters.

Appearance: deep garnet hue. Nose: intense and generous with notes of black fruit (black cherry and blackberry), and then spicy touches (white pepper).

The Fonterutoli estate is located in the heart of the Chianti Classico DOC in Tuscany and has remained in the same family for 24 generations. The Mazzei family owns 117 hectares of vine, divided in 120 parcels all harvested by hand. Grapes are vinified and matured separately in order to  add complexity to the wines.

Intense and deep ruby ​​red color, with an enveloping, fruity aroma of cherry and raspberry, a complex of pleasantly balanced spices and vanilla. On the palate it is rich, ample and velvety, with great structure and aromatic persistence, with elegant and gentle tannins.

The nose has a gentler red fruit, there is a significant ball of soft red fruit in the mouth, strawberries and a few raspberries, some oak at the back, acidity not especially present, tannins properly ripened.
