Violet, rose petals and white pepper rise from the glass. A pleasant freshness to the palate with juicy red orange and grapefruit notes. Fragrant, medium in body and well balanced. An initial dry sensation from the oak, that softens with time. Noticeable tannins, yet fine.
*NEW RELEASE* A rich, round, and fruity expression of the vintage. The Barbaresco 2020 shows notes of strawberry, red fruit, and cherry. The palate shows great integration of the tannins, more rounded than in 2019 yet gentle and graceful.

The Epenots ripened well in 2021 and that shows in the nature of the fruit, discreet on the nose, but filling the mouth relatively well. Just slightly bitter tannins behind. Additional elevage may pay dividends here.
