La Cumbre represents Viña Errázuriz’s pioneering spirit when it introduced the Syrah variety to Chile in 1993. Aged for 22 months in French oak barrels, 60% new and 15% Stockinger foudres, it is 96% Syrah and 4% Viognier

90-93, Allen Meadows, Burghound. Tasted: Jan 10, 2024. An admirably discreet dollop of wood is present on the spicier broad-ranging nose of red and black pinot fruit, plum and exotic tea scents.

Fine energy on the palate without putting on too much flesh, indeed medium bodied, quite an elegant hillside Meursault. Drink from 2026-2031.

*Prices in Bond* This cuvee spends 12 months in oak and then three and a half months on its fine lees in tank. The aromatics show a dusty limestone minerality with pithy green pear, hints of buttered white toast and yellow grapefruit confit.

91 - 93 points, William Kelley, Robertparker.com: The 2018 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière Chez Edouard Rouge is showing beautifully, unfurling in the glass with aromas of cassis, wild berries, bergamot and rose petals.

This cuvée is open and expressive. It shows fresh flavours of apricot and white peach on the nose with hawthorn undertones. On the palate the citrus notes come through with precision and are balanced by the richness of the fruit flavours.

92-94 pts Richard Juhlin: "The wine is almost completely dominated by the extremely exciting and rare Tauxières Premier Cru, which is one of two villages classified 99% on the Grand Cru scale. Despite an impressive vineyard area of 237 hectares, it is extremely rare to come across champagnes dominated by this fantastic Cru.

Complex  and, therefore, intriguing...

TO THE EYE: The Brut Réserve boasts a deep golden hue. Delicate, vivacious and long-lasting bubbles are the result of a long, slow maturing process in chalk cellars.

92 points Wine Advocate:  The 2018 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Frionnes is showing beautifully in bottle, mingling scents of crisp orchard fruit, citrus oil and peach with hints of crushed chalk and white flowers.

JAMES SUCKLING, 99 POINTS: “Great aromas of dried strawberries and fresh flowers, such as lavender. Full-bodied yet very tight and focused. Impressive tannic structure, but refined and polished. “Las Pizarras Pinot Noir 2019 displays a limpid ruby-red colour with beautiful violet highlights. It owns a complex nose reminiscent of rosehip, murtilla (Chilean guava), truffle, mushroom, sour cherries and a refreshing spicy tone, accompanied by soft pastries and dried fruit notes.

Chablis is an isolated island of vineyards in the northern section of wine-producing Burgundy halfway between Dijon and Paris. Maison Louis Latour's Chablis is the ultimate expression of what the noble Chardonnay grape is capable of on the region's famous Kimmeridgian limestone slopes.
