“Las Pizarras Pinot Noir 2019 displays a limpid ruby-red colour with beautiful violet highlights. It owns a complex nose reminiscent of rosehip, murtilla (Chilean guava), truffle, mushroom, sour cherries and a refreshing spicy tone, accompanied by soft pastries and dried fruit notes.
A relatively unknown domaine, however the exquisite wines are no accident. With winemaking overseen by Pierre Millemann, it was no surprise when we tasted at the domaine last autumn that the wines are luscious and elegant. This is a grower destined to become one of the must-haves of Gevrey-Chambertin.

Jancis Robinson 17 points: Mid to deep ruby. Dark, brooding and sweet with the merest suggestion of gingerbread. Ripe cherry fruit and lots of juice on the finish. Very long and supple and with delicious, chewy tannins. (WS)
