Seña 2019 shall be remembered as a milestone vintage of Viña Seña celebrating its 25th Anniversary with a wine of exceptional quality and promising ageing potential. Its special edition label to commemorate the silver jubilee makes it a unique collectable vintage in every sense.

Viñedo Chadwick 2019 continues to captivate with extreme elegance and finesse, freshness and superb ageing potential, expressing the greatness of its terroir in the Puente Alto D.O. Maipo Valley. This new release has been acclaimed by renowned wine critics from across the world.

“Las Pizarras Pinot Noir 2019 displays a limpid ruby-red colour with beautiful violet highlights. It owns a complex nose reminiscent of rosehip, murtilla (Chilean guava), truffle, mushroom, sour cherries and a refreshing spicy tone, accompanied by soft pastries and dried fruit notes.

Brut Majeur perfectly represents the AYALA style. The Chardonnay, emblematic grape variety, presents at 55% in this cuvée expresses all its purity and elegance.

Complex  and, therefore, intriguing...

TO THE EYE: The Brut Réserve boasts a deep golden hue. Delicate, vivacious and long-lasting bubbles are the result of a long, slow maturing process in chalk cellars.

Some plums, some fresh apple, a steady build up in flesh towards the back of the palate, a good balancing acidity, and fine persistence. Really very good indeed.

90 - 92 points, Jasper Morris MW Inside Burgundy: Currently in tank, on its finings. Pure lemon and lime colour. Lean white fruit up front, with good tension behind. Entirely white, no yellow plums, racy limestone feel with good length. Tense and long. Tasted: 12/1/2021

Pretty lemon with a lime tint, this is a little stricter at first on the nose, after bottling, but with a wonderful wealth of apple and fresh pear fruit behind, and very good length. Extremely successful. Fine long aftertaste.

*ALL PRICES IN BOND*  92 points Jasper Morris MW Inside Burgundy: Bottled end November. Mid yellow in colour, but fresh. There is an impressive weight of fruit for this hillside vineyard. Significant volume of fresh fruit, tinged with its usual lime blossom character, and good crisp finish with just the right acidity.

This wine is a deep, intense red. Elegant on the nose, with aromas of black fruits (blueberry and blackberry) dominating the hint of spice. A remarkable fullness on the palate, with tannic chewiness and unexpected roundness. The long finish has vanilla delicacy. A delightful wine, both powerful and elegant.

Allegrini’s take on the “Ripasso” method is made from a portion of grapes dried just for this wine (and not from the Amarone pomace). It's a smooth, velvety wine with ripe, juicy dark fruit and silky tannins.

A relatively unknown domaine, however the exquisite wines are no accident. With winemaking overseen by Pierre Millemann, it was no surprise when we tasted at the domaine last autumn that the wines are luscious and elegant. This is a grower destined to become one of the must-haves of Gevrey-Chambertin.
