Autumn Mixed Case 2022

Autumn mixed case 2023 - wimbledon wine cellar

x1 Galeyrand Chardonnay 2020 - 88 points, William Kelley, Robertparker.com: Notes of pear, grapefruit and bread dough introduce the 2020 Bourgogne Chardonnay Orane, a medium-bodied, satiny and incisive wine with a tangy spine of acidity and a saline finish. This has turned out nicely.

x1 Galeyrand La Cran Aligote 2020 - 89 points, William Kelley, Robertparker.com: Derived, as readers may remember, from vines growing in granite soils near Bissey-sous-Cruchaud in the Sâone-et-Loire, the 2020 Bourgogne Aligoté Le Cran is a medium to full-bodied, satiny and textural wine evocative of waxy orchard fruit, citrus oil and freshly baked bread. It's the broadest, roundest of these three Aligoté bottlings.

x1 Tempo d'angelus 2019 - Tempo d’Angelus has been created as a more streamlined version of its illustrious older siblings, Château Angelus and Carillon d’Angelus, with which it shares their characteristic depth and complexity. Produced from the great Angelus terroirs and made with the expertise of the estate’s teams, Tempo d’Angelus will offer demanding wine lovers an attractive, well-structured, precise and hedonistic wine that doesn’t require 15 or 20 years of cellaring to be enjoyed at its peak, as is often the case for the Grand Cru wines.

x1 Merlot Drago Rosso 2019 - Merlot Drago Rosso has a deep ruby red colour. The bouquet has a strong aromatic charge balanced by enveloping scents reminiscent of red fruit, such as cherry and blueberry, accompanied by light spicy notes. The palate is full and balanced by a good structure. The light tannins give a persistent and harmonious ending. Perfect to taste during a barbecue with red meat or game with friends. Try it also in pair with salami and or spicy cheeses.

x1 Blasson d'Issan Margeaux 2020 - Blason d’Issan, our second wine, was introduced from 1995 onwards to enable selection amongst our vines growing in the Margaux appellation area. Fruit from our youngest vines is used to produce this wine, which respects the identity of its terroir, while offering a tasty round fruitiness, which can be enjoyed earlier. Blason d’Issan is also aged in barrels for 14 to 16 months, one third of which are new.

x1 Marqués de Murrieta Rioja Riserva 2017 - The perfect balance between tradition and modernity. 96 points James Suckling, 94 points from both Decanter Magazine and Tim Atkin, MW and 93 points from Luis Gutierrez. A great classic, with a unique Rioja character, bursting with chewy red fruits, counterpointed by minerality. Reconciling power and finesse, pleasure and style. Warm and intense. Benchmark for wines of style, high-end brands. Leaves a vibrant memory. (Sarah Jane Evans, MW, Decanter Magazine)
