The nose is a compote of dark fruit with an abundance of perfume and savoury whiffs of cured meat, black olives and cigar box.
Picked ‘as fresh as can be’ according to winemaker Henry Kotzé, this is a barrel-fermented combination of Sauvignon Blanc with 43% Semillon. Tangy and lightly reductive, with wet stone aromas and appealing freshness and length. 91pts Tim Atkin, MW
