*All prices in bond*  93-95 pts 4 Stars, Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy This is still in barrel, unracked. Pale primrose, the bouquet is less easy to discern at this stage, with a minor oxidative note and some reduction. Put that to one side.

*All prices in bond*  87-89 pts 4 stars Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy A similar colour, pale primrose perhaps. A little bit crisper and more classic in bouquet. Delicious white fruit, very balanced, feel the limestone, enough flesh yet with precision as well. A longer and more mineral finish than Forgets.

There is good tension here on the palate, a crisp lemon note along with some fresh apples. Not immediately intense but with good length. A little touch of the positive youthful bitters.

A little bit of honeysuckle and musk here, but a significant concentration of fruit on the palate, with a density of texture. Plenty of wine to work with here. Drink from 2024-2027. 92 points Wine Advocate:  The 2018 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Frionnes is showing beautifully in bottle, mingling scents of crisp orchard fruit, citrus oil and peach with hints of crushed chalk and white flowers.
