Described by Robert Parker's Wine Advocate as a "Chambolle domaine to keep your beady eye on, especially those that appreciate but can ill-afford the likes of Roumier or de Vogüé," Domaine Sigaut is amongst the most exciting producers in the village - who, like our incredible Pommard grower Anne Parent, is held back from truly stratospheric fame only by lack of Grand Cru vineyard ownership.
"From vines planted in 1959, the 2012 Chambolle-Musigny Les Bussieres is truly magnificent, small-grower, old-vine red Burgundy.
"Classically Chambolle floral and perfumed aromas, intermixed with luscious black cherry and ripe plum fruit.
"Medium-bodied, with exquisitely silky texture, the 2012's fruit leaps out of the glass, with a cascade of dark berries, violets and delicate earthy spices.
"Match with duck, game birds, or mature creamy cheeses."
