94 Points – Owen Bargreen: Golden straw color, notes of citrus, vanilla and apple on the nose. Medium to full-bodied on the palate with pear fruit, good minerality, a hint of honey and a long clean finish.

The 2020 release saw droughts and wildfires across California, but as ever, the wines of Ridge have come out as exceptional examples of peerless winemaking skill and truly beautiful fruit from the finest vineyards in the region.
Quantities were more generous in 2019 thanks to greater rainfall early in the season and the absence of fires in the run-up to harvest.
Ridge’s use of natural yeast marks the wines out with a unique and enduring tone that has helped make them one of the most exceptional and distinctive wineries in California. The wines continue to be highly sought-after and, especially given the short crop in 2020, we expect demand to outstrip supply.
