This steep vineyard adjacent to the cuverie is composed of white pebbly sandy soils and clay, and catches the morning sun. The wine is lean and elegant, with pure lifted spicy red fruit and fine tannins. Towards the end the clay soils come into play: the fruit sweetens and the wine broadens, and there is a long fresh finish.
Ageing : 20 months in oak barrels. 30 % new oak.
Average age of the vine : 38 years old.
