*All prices in bond* 87-88 Points Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy. Mid red, a little brighter. Some zest to the fresh red fruit. Still a little bit firm at the finish, but the fruit carries on
through. Some similarity to 2017 suggests Christine. The fruit returns prettily to finish. Drink from 2024-2027.
87-89 Points Neal Martin Vinous. The 2021 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Vergelesses 1er Cru Rouge has a pleasing, airy and open-knit bouquet with brambly dark fruit and hints of iodine and oyster shell. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, strawberry pastilles and moderate weight towards the finish. There’s a dash of white pepper on the aftertaste. Drink over five to seven years.
