*All prices in bond* 89-91 Points, Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy. A lighter purple colour with quite a refined floral pinot nose. This upper hillside vineyard stays fresh yet has added weight with global warming. The fresh limestone feel is well supported by red fruit, with attractive persistence.
89-90 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous. The 2021 Beaune Montrevenots 1er Cru has a vivid and quite effervescent nose with Bing cherries and crushed strawberries. Light mineral scents surface with time. This is very well-focused. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. The 2021 is nicely structured, what you might call a “steadfast” Beaune in the positive sense of the word, with commendable backbone and salinity on the finish. Excellent.
