*All prices in bond* 88-90 Points Jasper Morris inside Burgundy. Mid red crimson, the nose is altogether more rustic, being served after the Ile de Vergelesses. Rugby man shoulders to this but the tannins are not ugly and the wine finishes well.
87-89 Points Neal Martin Vinous. The 2021 Aloxe-Corton Les Vercots 1er Cru has quite a tightly-wound bouquet with dark berry fruit, briary and light undergrowth scents. A touch of black truffle hides in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with sweet ripe tannins. It’s quite smooth in texture, but here is another example within Dubreuil-Fontaine’s range where I am more taken by its Village Cru counterpart.
