Chateau Reaut Vin Rouge Cotes de Bordeaux 2017 - DUTY PAID

chateau reaut vin rouge - wimbledon wine cellar

Château Réaut’s coat of arms symbolises the unprecedented union of winemakers from Bordeaux and Burgundy at the helm of one winery, making this estate a unique venture in Bordeaux’s long history. The vineyard’s ideal sun exposure and carefully selected grape varieties provide favourable conditions to craft wines of outstanding value.

Exceptionally located on a steep hill south oriented over the Garonne river and entirely replanted as Grand Cru by Maison ROEDERER Champagne, Château REAUT (26 ha in Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux) was purchased by Yannick EVENOU in 2012 with friends from Bordeaux and Burgundy.

The reknowned Michel Rolland, is their wine Consultant

Merlot 58%, Cabernet Sauvignon 37%, Cabernet Franc 5%.

DECANTER 92/100: "This feels like a serious Reaut – inky with deep extraction and concentrated to the point that the ink spills over the fruit but this is successful delivering for the AOC and then some. Drinking Window 2022 – 2036."

MARKUS DEL MONEGO 90/100: “Elegant nose with retained fruit, a discreet grilled. Well structured with ripe tannins, a good length. One of the good surprises in 2017”

JAMES SUCKLING 89-90/100: “A well made Côtes de Bordeaux, which presents lots of juicy tannins, a good portion of fruit. With a nice liveliness…”
