91-93, Neal Martin, October 2023. The 2022 Pommard Les Chaponnieres ler Cru contains 30% whole bunches and was raised in 40% new French oak. The nose offers brambly red fruit, hints of graphite and an endearing sense of Pinote; this is more elegant than the Chanlins. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins and fresh acidity. Again, a little powdery in texture with a long tail on the finish. Give this a couple of years in bottle. Drinking Window: 2026 - 2042
