SUGARILLE 2019 - NEW RELEASE. The wines of 2019 have rich color, intense fruity and floral notes, tension, with freshness and a full-body, all influenced by just the right proportion of heat and rain over the summer.
A beautiful, vivid wild-strawberry pink with a hue of red onion skin on the rim. On the nose, magnolia blossom is followed stridently by perfumed wild-strawberry compote with hints of buttered white sourdough toast. The palate is rich and mouth filling with flavours of strawberry balanced by zingy tart cranberry and pithy Amalfi lemon notes.
Decanter Tasting Score 90/100 "Creamy, with elegant green apple fruit and some nice nutty development. The high acidity provides freshness, and there is some complexity on the quite round palate. There is a lovely vibrancy and great length of finish."
Confit lemon, orange blossom and white lily exude on the nose, nestling amongst ripe apricot, white peach and baked red apple. The palate intensifies, evolving into tarte Tatin, almond croissant and a dusting of crumble, yet maintaining a precise structure, creamy texture and mouth-watering acidity.

The 2019 Vin de Constance is matured for 18 months in 500-liter Hungarian and French oak barrels, 50% new, followed by another 18 months in oak foudres. The growing season saw more sunlight hours than previous vintages (2,998 compared to 2,588 in 2018 for example).
