BRUT - GRAND CRU.... For those who love elegant fine chiselled champagne the Obsidienne is a revelation.

90/100 William Kelley, Wine Advocate: "Exhibiting aromas of sweet red berries, peonies, forest floor and blood orange, Bouley's 2017 Pommard Village is medium to full-bodied, lively and precise, with a perfumed core of fruit, powdery tannins and a chalky finish.

91/100 William Kelley, Wine Advocate: "Bursting with aromas of sweet red berries, cherries, dried flowers and raw cocoa, the 2017 Volnay Village is medium to full-bodied, supple and enveloping, its succulent core of fruit framed by exquisitely refined tannins and lively acids.

Hamilton Russell Pinot Noir is not overtly fruity, soft and “sweet” and it generally shows hints of that alluring “primal” character along with a dark, spicy, complex primary fruit perfume.

Unusual for its time, the Mount Edelstone Vineyard was solely planted with Shiraz in 1912. From the German ‘Edelstein’ meaning ‘gemstone’ this wine references the small yellow opals once found in the area.

La Cumbre represents Viña Errázuriz’s pioneering spirit when it introduced the Syrah variety to Chile in 1993. Aged for 22 months in French oak barrels, 60% new and 15% Stockinger foudres, it is 96% Syrah and 4% Viognier

*All prices in bond*  87-88 Points Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy. Mid red, a little brighter. Some zest to the fresh red fruit. Still a little bit firm at the finish, but the fruit carries on
through. Some similarity to 2017 suggests Christine. The fruit returns prettily to finish. Drink from 2024-2027.

*All prices in bond* 89-91 Points, Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy. A lighter purple colour with quite a refined floral pinot nose. This upper hillside vineyard stays fresh yet has added weight with global warming. The fresh limestone feel is well supported by red fruit, with attractive persistence.
