x1 Galeyrand Chardonnay 2020 - 88 points, William Kelley, Robertparker.com: Notes of pear, grapefruit and bread dough introduce the 2020 Bourgogne Chardonnay Orane, a medium-bodied, satiny and incisive wine with a tangy spine of acidity and a saline finish. This has turned out nicely.

Bruno Desaunay's style is classic, rich and fuller in style as this is very much declassified Vosne Romanee.

Roda I Rioja Reserva 2017 - IN BOND
Made from 90% Tempranillo, 6% Graciano and 4% Garnacha, the Roda I 2017 has fantastic concentration of fruit on the nose with aromatic layers of abundant black plum and blueberries, cloves, black pepper and cinnamon. In the background there is a subtle white flower quality and aromas of moist earth and pleasant minerality.

Delicious white fruit, very balanced, feel the limestone, enough flesh yet with precision as well. A longer and more mineral finish than Forgets.

*All prices in bond* 86 - 88 3 Stars, Jasper Morris, MW, Inside Burgundy Mid lemon and lime, restrained nose. A little bit of honeysuckle and musk here, but a significant concentration of fruit on the palate, with a density of texture. Plenty of wine to work with here. Drink from 2024-2027. Anyone who meets Jérome is instantly attracted to his love of Burgundy. He is now seen as one of the leading lights in the region when it comes to the Aligoté grape. The Aligoté wines here are serious. Incredible elegance, finesse and a real quality that is not often seen. He has championed the grape variety and the results are wonderful.

Over 180 years ago, Johann Christian Henschke settled in the Eden Valley where he built his farm. When third generation, Paul Alfred Henschke took over the reins in 1914, the now famed Hill of Grace vines were more than 50 years old.
