BRUT - GRAND CRU.... For those who love elegant fine chiselled champagne the Obsidienne is a revelation.

Weather vagaries and Meerlust’s exacting quality requirements determine that not every vintage is worthy of our flagship red blend Rubicon. Thus is born, in rare years, our collector’s Meerlust Red 2019. The Red 2019 is a blend of  Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot aged in French oak for 17 months.

Bright, golden hue with shimmering highlights. Fine, lively mousse with lingering threads of bubbles. The bouquet is open and rich yet also wonderfully fresh.

This wine is mineral driven, with slight floral notes and a steely crisp acidity which makes you want to go back for more. A classic and classy Chablis, showcasing the mineral terroir beautifully with notes of flint stone and fleshy fruits lingering on the palate. A wine that goes well with Burgundy snails, Chablis sausage and seafood.

Rabl Grüner Veltliner Käferberg Reserve comes from a single vineyard, and has lovely aromas of red and green apples, together with a touch of spice. Notes of ripe pineapple and white pepper lead to a mineral, spicy and harmonious palate with a long, creamy finish.

Tasting notes - An enticingly fragrant Scheurebe, with irresistibly intense aromas of white flowers and red grapefruit combined with delicate spicy flavours. Refreshingly crisp with a lifted, zesty finish.
