From Boekenhoutskloof Winery in Franschhoek, South Africa, we bring you the new vintage of Chocolate Block. This shipment is expected to sell out, and quickly, so don't "think about it".... The nose is a compote of dark fruit with an abundance of perfume and savoury whiffs of cured meat, black olives and cigar box.
Pale raspberry with fine copper glints. The nose is opulent and well structured, with red berries and a rich spicy depth. The palate is taut, with a refreshing backbone of acidity, that rounds out to a sensation of bursting red-currants. A lively finish that is impressively long.
Jancis Robinson – “2016 is a seriously delicious vintage for Burgundy” “Bad news Burgundy lovers, there is a shortage of Burgundy wine in this vintage” – So grab yourself a 6 pack or two. The wines from Anne Parent are a firm favourite with us and with a little bit of bottle age they are exceptional.
