*ARRIVES DECEMBER 2020*  100% Cabernet Sauvignon, predominately from two Stags Leap District sites — Shafer’s hillside estate vineyard and the “Borderline” vineyard located about two miles south of the winery. Aged for 20 months in 100% new oak barrels (Allier & Troncais).

*ARRIVES DECEMBER 2020* Hillside Select is one of California’s greatest red wines. It is produced from carefully selected blocks surrounding the winery (The Sunspot, John's Upper Seven, Venado Illegal & Firebreak) exclusively in the Stags Leap District.

*ARRIVES DECEMBER 2020* This wine honours long-time Shafer Winemaker Elias Fernandez and his relentless pursuit of quality. 86% Syrah, 14% Petite Sirah from a small ridgetop site along the Vaca Mountains, just south of Stags Leap District. It is aged for 30 months in 100% new French barrels (Troncais & Allier).

Blend : 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Malbec, 1% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc

Aging : 18 months in 48% new oak barrels (62% french & 38% american), and 52% one-to two-year-old barrels.
