We have been visiting the Javillier estate located in Meursault, capital of the great white wines of Burgundy, for over 13 years. You cannot fail to be charmed by Patrick. Somebody who adores his craft, his village and always has a zest for life. Mild mannered and gentle, his wines are a reflection of himself. He has now handed the mantle to his daughter Marion who continues this family’s journey of fine wine making and innovation along with her brother in law Pierre-Emmanual Lamy.
Fourteen appellations are produced by the domain from 11 ha. of vineyards in 5 communes of the Côte d’Or department, ranging between Puligny-Montrachet and Pernand-Vergelesses
Gorgeous parcels, patience and an eye for detail continue to make this winery the pundits choice. There is great tension in the wines this year with the Corton Charlemagne once again a standout of the vintage. Speaking to several journalists, as usual this is one of the best addresses for value and quality. The humble Forget and beautifully balanced Oligocene are not to be missed. They are exceptional wines at terrific prices. It's difficult to find staple diet white Burgundy at this level and price. The reds should not be overlooked either - The family has a gentle, elegant hand with Pinot too. They are delicious early drinking wines that again offer exceptional value.
Allocations are small. All en primeur prices in bond
