BORDEAUX 2020 En PRIMEUR - DELIVERY June 2022. PRICES IN BOND. 91-92/100 Points. "Lots of blackberry and black olive with a salty undertone. It’s medium-to full-bodied and firm with quite a velvety texture to the tannins and a good finish." James Suckling
An attractive, brilliant, dark ruby colour. Wild red berry fruit aromas mingle with notes of cherry stones, with pepper and spices coming through. Smooth, velvety tannins on the palate with a pleasant tang which in the finish provides length of flavour and amazing sapidity.
90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc
"Really pretty and linear with a seamless, pretty core of blue fruit and firm, chewy tannins. Medium to full body. Racy and well done." - 92-93/100, James Suckling
"So much purity and definition, this is a beautiful wine with clarity of flavour. Touches of grilled almond and rosemary, mocha, smoke and coffee bean, there is so much freshness, with juice rushing in between the muscles and a mint leaf finish. 3.78pH, 60% new oak. Yields were 25-30hl/ha.
1855-CLASSIFIED GRAND CRU
The soul of a great terroir, a radiant, full-bodied, velvety wine for keeping. It stands out by its fresh fruit flavours, its density and its very fine tannins. Its best vintages express freshness, an elegant bouquet of red and black fruits, with opulence and tension on the finish, and spicy undertones.
Blason d’Issan, our second wine, was introduced from 1995 onwards to enable selection amongst our vines growing in the Margaux appellation area. Fruit from our youngest vines is used to produce this wine, which respects the identity of its terroir, while offering a tasty round fruitiness, which can be enjoyed earlier.
