Now available to purchase, by the six-pack at some of the sharpest prices in London, is the fabulously elegant range of Champagne from Pol Roger - famously the owners of 7 kilometres of some of the deepest and coolest cellars in the region.

These deep, cool cellars result in particularly lengthy fermentation times for Pol Roger's wines, which give a range of Champagnes with incredibly fine, delicate bubbles and some of the most complex flavours available from any Champagne house.

Aside from the elegance of the tiny bubbles, Pol Roger's signature style is to use a high proportion of Chardonnay in the blend to give a distinct sense of freshness and elegance across their different Champagne cuvees, in contrast to the heaviness and power displayed by more Pinot Noir-dominated Champagnes.

As a result, the Champagnes tend to drink beautifully as aperitifs, or partnered with oysters and other delicate fish and seafood dishes.

Pol Roger offer three non-vintage champagnes: Brut Réserve NV, Pure NV and Rich NV. Pol Roger's Pure NV and Rich NV are based on the Brut Réserve blend, with the Rich offering a sweeter palate from a slightly higher dosage and the Pure, at the other end of the scale, being the driest, without dosage.

The rest of Pol Roger's Champagnes are vintage-dated, taking in Brut Vintage, Brut Rosé and Blanc de Blancs as well as the iconic Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill - one of the finest and most elegant prestige cuvées available.
