Buy the iconic range of fine wines from pioneering South-Australian producer Henschke

Arriving week commencing Monday 29th August and available to reserve now by the six-pack at some of the most competitive prices in London, is the iconic range of wines from pioneering producer Henschke.

That Henschke produce a number of Australia’s most sought-after red wines, including Henschke Hill of Grace – second only to Penfold’s Grange in its iconic status – is due to an accumulation of effort by a number of generations of the Henschke family.

Native to Silesia in Germany, Johann Christian Henschke first planted vines near South Australia’s Eden Valley in 1861, but it was largely Cyril Henschke who laid the foundations for the family’s current success, with pioneering work with single varietal and single vineyard wines, including the development into Australian wine icons of Hill of Grace and Mount Edelstone in the 1950s.

Today Henschke is owned and the wines made by Stephen Henschke and his wife Prue, who have continued Cyril’s great legacy, with multi-award winning wines, including a joint award for ‘International Red Winemaker of the Year’ from the International Wine and Spirits Competition in London.

The Henschkes continue to dry farm some of the oldest vines, in some of the most ideal vineyards, in South Australia, producing wines rightfully considered to be up there with the best of the world.
